Provider & co-owner

Experience shaped by every side of care.

Catherine “Cat” Hensley, FNP-C, owns Mountain Community Healthcare with her husband, Adam.

Cat began her nursing career more than 11 years ago, spending much of that time in the emergency department of a Level I trauma center while also gaining experience in urgent care and a cardiac progressive care unit.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from East Tennessee State University approximately eight years ago. She went on to practice family medicine in a primary care setting, later working in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and completing contract examinations for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“We started Mountain Community Healthcare to improve access to efficient, quality healthcare. This model lets us focus our time on our patients—not insurance companies.”

For Cat, that means longer visits, transparent pricing, direct communication, and more efficient care for the community she calls home.

Beyond the practice

Rooted in Greeneville.

Cat and Adam have been married for more than 11 years. They enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and working out together.

They share their Greeneville home with three dogs, two cats, and roughly twenty chickens. Together, they also own Lost Mountain Flower Farm, where they grow and sell cut flowers in the spring.
